During the inaugural Mann Ki Baat of 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi painted a vivid picture of India’s startup revolution, now the world’s third-largest ecosystem. On the 10th anniversary of Startup India, initiated in January 2016, he passionately acknowledged the youth as the unsung heroes steering this phenomenal growth.

‘Back in 2016, we set out on this path, aware of its profound impact on our young minds and the nation’s destiny,’ PM Modi remarked. What began as a spark has ignited a firestorm of innovation across unconventional frontiers.

Indian startups are now dominating sectors such as artificial intelligence, aerospace, nuclear energy, semiconductor manufacturing, electric mobility, green hydrogen, and biotechnology—realms once considered out of reach. ‘This ecosystem defies convention, thriving where imagination meets action,’ the PM noted.

Extending salutations to every startup enthusiast, Modi shifted focus to a critical national duty: upholding uncompromising quality. As India’s economy accelerates and garners global attention, he implored citizens, especially in industry, to make quality their obsession.

‘Let our chant be Quality above all,’ he proclaimed. Enhancing standards in textiles, technology, electronics, and packaging will define Indian excellence. This clarion call in Mann Ki Baat reinforces India’s trajectory toward becoming a quality-driven innovation superpower.
