The Maruti Suzuki Fronx compact SUV has broken new ground, with production now exceeding 500,000 units. Introduced in March 2023, the Fronx has been a hit from the start, proving popular with buyers. Demand for the Fronx is high not just in India, but internationally as well. Export figures have also passed the 100,000-unit mark. One out of every five Fronx vehicles made in India is exported.
The Fronx stands as the first ‘Made-in-India’ SUV to be exported to Japan. It was also the most exported passenger car from India during the fiscal year 2024-25. Domestically, the car consistently ranks among the top 10 best-selling vehicles. The Fronx has shown rapid growth. Production reached 100,000 units by December 2023. This was followed by 200,000 units in June 2024, 300,000 by November 2024, and 400,000 by February 2025. The company achieved the 500,000 mark in July 2025.
