    Thomas Sanford, the alleged perpetrator of the Michigan church shooting, was killed in a police encounter. Authorities confirmed that police shot the suspect after a brief pursuit. Police Chief William Renee indicated that investigators believe Sanford intentionally set fire to the building.

    Thomas Sanford, who was 40 years old and a resident of Burton, was identified as the suspect. According to a New York Post report, Thomas Sanford was a veteran of the Iraq war, having served from 2004 to 2008. Former President Donald Trump also condemned the recent church attack in the United States. Trump stated that it was another targeted attack on Christians in America and that this epidemic of violence in our country must end immediately!
