Fitness dynamo Milind Soman turned the Arabian Sea into his personal proving ground, conquering 15km in a blistering 7 hours and 20 minutes—his fastest ever. This record-shattering swim cements his status as India’s ultimate endurance warrior.

Dawn broke over Mumbai’s shorelines as Soman plunged into the salty embrace of the sea. For over seven hours, he battled swells, jellyfish risks, and muscle burnout, emerging victorious with a personal best that stunned onlookers.

In the glow of triumph, Soman turned spotlights on his wife Ankita. ‘I’m proud of her every day—her resilience inspires my swims,’ he declared. The couple’s shared fitness ethos has long captivated audiences, with Ankita matching Soman stride-for-stride in runs and challenges.

This swim marks a milestone in Soman’s decorated career: English Channel conqueror, Mumbai-Pawna trekker, and now record-holder in ultra-open water. At 58, he defies ageist norms, training rigorously with interval swims, core drills, and breathwork.

Medical experts monitoring the event reported optimal vitals throughout, crediting Soman’s nutrition—high-protein gels and hydration packs. ‘He’s a blueprint for longevity in sports,’ one said.

Soman’s openness about Ankita stems from their unconventional love story. Their bond, forged in fitness, fuels mutual achievements. ‘She ran the Comrades Marathon; I swim oceans for her smile,’ he quipped.

The swim also spotlighted marine safety, with Soman advocating for cleaner coasts. Social buzz exploded, with celebrities and fans hailing the feat.

As records tumble, Soman stays grounded. ‘Ankita’s pride is my real trophy,’ he concluded. India’s fitness king swims on.
