The well-known Tutla Bhawani Temple in the Rohtas district of Bihar is scheduled for a significant renovation, incorporating modern facilities and a fresh appearance. The Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change is overseeing the project with an approximate budget of 12 crore rupees. The foundation stone was laid on Sunday by Forest Minister Dr. Sunil Kumar.

The temple is not only a place of religious importance but also attracts visitors due to its picturesque surroundings. It welcomes a considerable number of devotees and tourists, but the lack of basic amenities such as suitable roads has created difficulties.

Key aspects of the renovation include:

    * Improving the condition of the roads leading to the temple to facilitate access for pilgrims.
    * Installing CCTV cameras for security and surveillance, in addition to providing facilities like changing rooms and restrooms.
    * Constructing a 100-meter-long walkway bridge to improve visitor experience and ease access to the temple.
    * Creating a grand main entrance and a modern gateway to welcome visitors.
    * Implementing a solar system for environmental protection and energy conservation.
    * Building shops nearby to promote local employment and ensure visitors have easy access to essential items. This will generate income opportunities for the local population and strengthen the regional economy.

The primary goal of this project is to establish Tutla Bhawani as a major religious and natural tourist spot. The department anticipates a considerable increase in the number of visitors after the project’s completion.

The temple, situated in the Kaimur hills of Rohtas district, is celebrated for its natural beauty and waterfalls. It is also known as Tutileshwari Bhawani Temple or Tutrahi Dham. The temple houses a 12th-century idol, which was erected by the Kharwar kings.

Visitors to Tutla Bhawani Temple pay their respects to the goddess Bhawani and enjoy the adjacent waterfalls. A large number of devotees gather during Navratri.
