Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), visited Satna in Madhya Pradesh and participated in the inauguration of the new building at the Meher Shah Darbar in the Baba Sindhi Camp. He used the occasion to speak of the unity of the people, saying all are ‘Sanatanis’ and Hindus. He attributed the division to the British. He went on to say that irrespective of religion or language, everyone is Hindu. He pointed out how the British usurped spiritual values while offering material items, which led to the sense of separation. He called for self-reflection through the lens of spirituality, the guidance of gurus and embracing their cultural identity. Bhagwat announced his determination to reclaim what rightfully belongs to them.
He spoke about the global perception of Hindus, and also talked about those Sindhis who didn’t migrate to Pakistan, and the value of their roots. He stated that they would reclaim their lost rights and possessions.
