Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav drew a firm line on Friday against law-breakers following a heated community clash in Ujjain’s Tarana. ‘Our government is capable of dealing with anyone trying to shatter the state’s peace,’ he proclaimed to reporters in Jabalpur, underscoring a no-nonsense approach to governance.

The trouble started Thursday night with an alleged assault on a VHP activist and his friend amid a petty row. Friday saw the situation worsen as stone pelting ensued between rival groups, with graphic videos flooding online platforms.

Authorities responded with urgency: curfew imposed, flag marches executed, and 20 arrests made swiftly. Ujjain SP Pradeep Sharma assured the public of round-the-clock vigilance. ‘We’re analyzing CCTV, engaging community reps, and urging calm. Situation is stable, but security is enhanced,’ he detailed.

Yadav emphasized proactive governance. ‘We champion ongoing good rule and confront deficiencies head-on.’ This episode highlights persistent communal friction risks, yet the CM’s resolute words signal robust state machinery at work.

Police are combating rumor-mongers fueling fear, prioritizing de-escalation. As Madhya Pradesh navigates such flashpoints, Yadav’s government positions itself as a bulwark against chaos, committed to upholding order and harmony for all residents.
