    The ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament in 2025 has seen significant opposition from the INDIA bloc regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. Congress MP Manickam Tagore has initiated an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to discuss the SIR. The opposition alleges the SIR is an attempt to disenfranchise voters, particularly ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. The INDIA bloc MPs will stage a protest in Parliament to demand a comprehensive discussion on the issue. The Election Commission recently published the draft electoral rolls for Bihar, prompting the opposition’s actions.
