The Parliament’s Monsoon Session in 2025 will feature a special discussion on ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Lok Sabha will be the primary forum for this debate, analyzing India’s military actions in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address the Lok Sabha. A fiery debate is expected between the ruling alliance and the opposition. The agenda outlines a ‘Special Discussion on India’s strong, successful and decisive ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to terrorist attack in Pahalgam’. The Pahalgam attack, which occurred on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir, resulted in the loss of twenty-six civilian lives. India retaliated with precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The monsoon session, which began on July 21, has been marked by repeated adjournments due to opposition demands for discussions on critical public issues, including the Pahalgam terror attack and the Election Commission’s SIR exercise in Bihar.
