    The monsoon season is displaying its wrath across the country. Mountainous regions are experiencing cloudbursts and landslides. Rivers, overflowing with water, are causing significant destruction. Heavy rainfall persists in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Jammu, Kathua, Bhadarwah, Udhampur, and Batote have been hit by torrential rains. Himachal Pradesh is experiencing rain in Kangra, Kullu, Manali, Mandi, and Dharamshala. Dharamshala and Mandi received 100 millimeters of rain in just 24 hours.

    Delhi and the NCR areas received light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours. The weather department forecasts rain and thunderstorms for today. The department also mentions that the rain and thunderstorm activity in Delhi will continue. Delhi can expect rain and thunderstorms until August 30th. Rainfall or thundershowers are expected on August 31st and September 1st.

    **Rainfall Abates in Uttar Pradesh**

    Uttar Pradesh recently experienced good and heavy rainfall. According to the weather department’s forecast, heavy rainfall is not anticipated in the state in the coming days. Today, there is a chance of light rain and showers with thunderstorms in some parts of western and eastern UP, but the weather department has not issued any heavy rainfall warnings. There is also no expectation of heavy rainfall in any part of the state on August 28th and 29th.

    **Rainfall Forecast for the Next 24 Hours**

    Light rainfall is expected in Western Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Saurashtra, and Kutch during the next 24 hours. Coastal Karnataka, central Maharashtra, and Lakshadweep can expect light to moderate rainfall. Moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted for Punjab, Haryana, and southeastern Rajasthan. Uttarakhand, Northeast India, and Andaman-Nicobar are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall. Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Gujarat region, Konkan-Goa, Odisha, and North Andhra coast may experience light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
