    Medical student dies after falling from the fourth floor in Chhindwara

    A girl died after falling from the fourth floor of an apartment in Chhindwara on Friday night. She was a third year student of Wardha Medical College. Her father was sleeping at the time of the incident and the neighbours informed him. The police have conducted the post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the family.

    If Hindu children are found studying in madrasas in Madhya Pradesh, action will be taken

    The Madhya Pradesh government has issued strict orders to stop non-Muslim children from studying in madrasas. If Hindu children are found in madrasas, their financial aid will be stopped and recognition will be cancelled. According to Article 28 (3) of the Constitution, religious education cannot be given without the consent of parents. All madrasas will be inspected and action will be taken against violations.

    Government will give an incentive of 50 thousand on purchasing an electric vehicle

    The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a new policy to promote electric vehicles (EVs). Under this, incentives will be given on a first come, first serve basis and registration fees will be zero. It will be mandatory to install EV charging points in petrol pumps and government offices. Parking of EV vehicles will also be free.

    Petition seeking permission for marriage of 15 year old girls under Muslim Personal Law

    A petition has been filed in the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, which alleges that the permission for marriage of 15-year-old girls under Muslim Personal Law is a violation of the Child Marriage Prohibition Act-2006. The court has issued notice to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, the Central Government, and other concerned parties and directed them to respond within four weeks.

    A vicious gang of thieves busted in Bhopal

    Habibganj police station has exposed an active gang of thieves, which committed thefts in half a dozen vacant houses including the bungalow of Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh on the night of 12-13 August. Police have taken two accused on remand and are searching for their absconding accomplice. The accused have confessed to stealing Rs 15 thousand cash from the MLA’s bungalow.
