Dhoni was present at Arthur Ashe Stadium as Novak Djokovic played his quarterfinal match against Taylor Fritz. Djokovic won the match in four sets, with scores of 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, and 6-4, progressing to the semifinals. A photo of Dhoni at the second men’s singles quarterfinal in New York, along with a brief video of the match, was posted on Instagram by businessman Hitesh Sanghvi. Despite adjusting his playing schedule this season, Djokovic has been incredibly consistent, making it to the semifinals or better in all four grand slam tournaments. He is slated to face Carlos Alcaraz next. Djokovic leads Alcaraz 5-3 in their career head-to-head. Carlos Alcaraz has reached nine Grand Slam semi-finals before turning 23 years of age.
