Mumbai is experiencing severe challenges due to excessive rainfall, leading to widespread flooding that has crippled the city. The waterlogging has created significant difficulties for residents, with traffic gridlock and train delays being major concerns. Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has acknowledged the loss of life and damage to property caused by the rains. SDRF and NDRF teams are on the ground providing support in the most affected areas. The IMD had previously predicted the heavy rainfall. A cloudburst in Mukhed, in the Nanded district, has worsened the already difficult conditions. The Indian Army has been sent to Mukhed to provide assistance. Several rain-related deaths have been reported across Maharashtra, highlighting the severity of the situation.
