The body of a person who went missing 15 days ago was found in a well.
The body of a person was found in a well located at village Ghattiyakala Marg in Dewas district. On the information of the well owner, the police reached the spot and completed the Panchnama process. According to the information received from the police, Chandrakant Vyas resident Peepalravaan informed at the police station on Friday that his farm is situated on Ghattiyakala road, there is a well here.
When I went to the field around five in the evening, there was a foul smell coming from the well. When I peeked in, I saw the dead body of an unknown person lying upside down. On receiving the information, TI Kamal Singh Gehlot reached the spot with the team. The body was taken out from the well and was identified as 54 year old Mahesh son of Suraj Singh Bhil, resident of Pipalrawan.
The body was sent to Civil Hospital Sonkutch for post-mortem, but due to bad condition it was sent to Indore. According to the information, Mahesh had left home on September 28 and did not return. A missing complaint was lodged at the police station by his son Bablu on 29 September. Police had also issued a poster of Mahesh for search.
