Patna is experiencing unrest following the murder of a 10-year-old girl. The tragic incident has caused outrage and anger among the victim’s family and the local community. On Thursday, villagers expressed their grief and anger by setting fires and blocking the Danapur-Maner main road at Mahinwa village. They also used bricks and drums to halt traffic.

The body of the girl was found in Maner, hanging from a tree. After the discovery, City SP West Bhanu Pratap and the FSL team immediately initiated an investigation. The girl was a resident of Maner Azad Nagar. She had been missing since August 26th, and a missing person report had been filed at the Maner police station.

The family reported that the girl had gone to the Mahinawa garden in Ratan Tola village to collect firewood on August 26th but never returned. Intensive searches were carried out, but her whereabouts remained unknown. A missing person report was filed at the Maner police station, which led to a police investigation.

On Thursday, the girl’s body was discovered hanging from a tree in the garden. The site is a remote mango orchard with standing water, far from the village. The discovery led to a large gathering of villagers and family members at the scene. The sight of the body caused the family and villagers to become extremely agitated. They blocked the Danapur-Maner main road near Mahinwa village, started fires, and expressed concerns of possible sexual assault.

City SP West Bhanu Pratap Singh stated that the body of a 10-year-old girl had been found in a garden in the Mahinwa area of Maner. He also confirmed that the initial assessment suggests a murder, with the body having been hanged from a tree. Police are also probing whether the victim was sexually assaulted.
