Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has voiced his serious concern regarding the incident involving three girls from Narayanpur who were being taken to Agra from Durg railway station by two nuns, under the false pretense of nursing training and job opportunities.

CM Sai stated that initial reports suggest that human trafficking and religious conversion may be involved, which are serious concerns that affect women’s safety and social harmony.

The Chief Minister stated that the investigation is ongoing and the matter is under legal review. The government is committed to operating transparently and sensitively, and the law will run its course. CM Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is a state of peace and inclusivity, where diverse communities live together in harmony.

CM Sai highlighted that the safety and respect of women is a top priority for his government. He expressed his disappointment over the politicization of the issue of the daughters of Bastar, stating that political coloring should be avoided when discussing the safety of women.
