The Navratri festivities in Dhauara Bhata village, under the Arjuni police station area of Dhamtari district, have been overshadowed by a tragic incident. Vinod Kumar, who was participating as a priest in the Durga Puja pandal, died by suicide. The event occurred on Friday afternoon when he left the pandal and went to a nearby house. Concern grew as he did not return, prompting people to search for him, ultimately finding him hanging by a gamcha. The community is now reeling from grief, and the Durga Mahotsav celebrations have been overshadowed by the loss. The police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suicide, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem at the Dhamtari District Hospital.
