Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief of the Indian Navy, brought inspiration to the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 during his Monday visit to New Delhi. Harking back to his cadet days, he proclaimed these youths as the living essence of ‘One India, Excellent India’.

Received with a stellar Guard of Honour by cadets from all three wings, the Admiral was visibly moved. He hailed their parade perfection, drill precision, band brilliance, and cultural flair, bestowing the naval term ‘Bravo Zulu’ for outstanding performance.

Congratulating them on their elite selection, Tripathi underscored NCC’s role in building character through patriotism and responsibility. He lauded the 72,000 cadets’ vital civil defense role in Operation Sindoor and their pioneering work in drone handling and cyber vigilance.

Invoking PM Modi’s praise for youth’s global potential, he stressed their centrality to India’s 2047 development goals. NCC is modernizing, he observed, integrating timeless discipline with contemporary tech like drones and cyber defenses to forge adaptable leaders.

From personal insights, the Chief imparted five pillars of success: self-discipline amid temptations, endless learning for relevance, courage modeled on war heroes Arun Khetrapal and Mahendra Nath, collective solidarity, and unyielding resolve.

Highlighting Navy collaborations, Tripathi described immersive programs like Puneet Sagar and Sea Vigil, offering seamanship, yachting, ship training, and global stints to demystify naval life for cadets.

Urging internalization of unity, order, and integrity with service to the nation paramount, the event sparkled with Birla Balika Vidyapeeth’s band show, flag area tours reflecting regional heritage, and cadet-led exhibits of naval and aerial models.
