In a shocking incident, Naxalites murdered two villagers in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, alleging they were police informants. The incident took place in Chutwai village. The Small Action Jagargunda Area Committee took responsibility for the murders. A note found near the bodies claimed Kursam Manglu was involved in providing information to the police and had been warned. The Deputy Chief Minister, Arun Sao, has condemned the cowardly act, attributing it to the Naxals’ desperation. This follows an earlier encounter in Narayanpur district, where seven Naxalites were killed by security forces.
