Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra secured second place in the Diamond League Final 2025 in Zurich. Chopra, a two-time Olympic medalist, recorded a best throw of 85.01m. The event was dominated by Germany’s Julian Weber, whose throw of 91.51m earned him first place.

Chopra’s initial throw measured 84.35m, with his following attempts varying. During the competition, he faced a series of fouls. His final throw, however, was his best, leading to a runner-up finish.

Weber’s exceptional throw was the highlight of the competition, showcasing a dominant performance. Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago secured third place with a throw of 84.95m.

Chopra’s performance, although not his best, highlights his competitive spirit. The Zurich result serves as a valuable lesson as he prepares for major upcoming events, including the World Championships and the Olympics.
