Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dropped a bombshell in his latest cabinet address, championing Iran’s protesters and anticipating a post-regime alliance with the nation. With anti-government fervor sweeping Tehran and beyond, Netanyahu sees the current upheaval as a golden opportunity for normalized ties.

Per The Times of Israel, he stated unwavering support: ‘Israel stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Iran’s valiant people. Once the tyrannical regime crumbles, we’ll partner to achieve prosperity and tranquility.’ The protests, triggered by soaring prices and stifled freedoms, have claimed numerous lives, amplifying calls for change.

Netanyahu reminisced about pre-revolutionary friendship between the countries, urging a return to cooperative days focused on shared security and development. His message is a direct appeal to Iranians, positioning Israel as an ally against oppression rather than an adversary.

Escalating the drama, Iran’s parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf fired back at US President Trump’s threats during a raucous session broadcast nationwide. As MPs rushed the podium shouting anti-American slogans, Ghalibaf cautioned that strikes on Iran would make US troops and Israel prime targets.

A veteran hardliner with presidential ambitions, Ghalibaf commended forces for their toughness and warned of severe reprisals against dissenters. Labeling Israel the ‘Zionist entity,’ he put all regional US installations on notice. In this charged atmosphere, Netanyahu’s vision of partnership challenges entrenched hostilities, potentially altering the geopolitical chessboard if Iran’s regime falters.
