Aryan Khan’s debut web series, ‘The Ba****ds of Bollywood,’ launched on Netflix, generating significant interest after the trailer’s release. The series is a satire on Bollywood, with witty commentary from Aryan, poking fun at himself, his characters, and even his father, Shah Rukh Khan. The plot begins with an action scene, starring Aasman Singh (Lakshya). He lands a three-film deal and then a Karan Johar film. Freddy Sodawala (Manish Chaudhary) is a ruthless producer. Ajay Talwar (Bobby Deol) doesn’t want his daughter in a Karan Johar film. The series features cameos from Aamir Khan, Rajamouli, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Badshah. Aryan mocks Bollywood’s glamor, his own controversies, and the debates surrounding nepotism. The cast, including Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Manish Choudhary, Bobby Deol, and Rajat Bedi, delivers powerful performances. While the initial episodes are strong, the series’ pace slows down later. Aryan Khan’s direction is notable, and the music enhances the viewing experience, including the popular track ‘Badli Si Hawa.’
