Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Victoris SUV in India, introducing a new contender in the mid-size SUV segment. This 5-seater vehicle will be available through the company’s Arena outlets, with an expected price range of ₹10 lakh to ₹18 lakh. The Victoris is notable for being Maruti’s first CNG car, offering a spacious boot due to its innovative design. The exterior of the Victoris combines elements from the e-Vitara and Grand Vitara while incorporating a distinctive European design aesthetic. At the rear, the car features boomerang-shaped 3D LED lamps connected by a light bar, a wide tailgate, and a roof spoiler. The interior boasts a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additional features include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a steering wheel with mounted controls, and drive modes. The Victoris offers a choice of two hybrid powertrains: a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol and a 1.5-liter strong-hybrid petrol, both sourced from the Grand Vitara. The car also introduces a CNG-powered variant equipped with a hidden tank S-CNG engine, which contributes to a larger boot space and a more spacious cabin compared to the Grand Vitara. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris will compete with other popular SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Hyryder. The SUV has been awarded a 5-star rating by Bharat NCAP. It comes with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, a Dolby Atmos sound system, and a power-operated tailgate. The Victoris is slated for export to more than 100 countries, with bookings currently open for ₹11,000.
