The Vishnu Deo Sai cabinet in Chhattisgarh has expanded after much anticipation, with three new ministers taking their oaths today. Gajendra Yadav from the Durg division, Guru Khushwant Saheb from the Raipur division, and Rajesh Agarwal representing the Sarguja division, all took the oath of office and secrecy. The ceremony began with Gajendra Yadav, who included his father’s name. Following him, Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA from Arang, took the oath. Rajesh Agarwal, MLA from Sarguja, was the final minister to be sworn in. The new ministers then met with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to receive his congratulations.

“I congratulate and wish the best to the new members of my cabinet, Gajendra Yadav, Guru Khushwant Saheb, and Rajesh Agarwal,” the Chief Minister said. “I am certain that the ministers will serve the people with great dedication, fostering development and good governance.” Chief Minister Sai expressed his confidence that the newly appointed ministers will be committed to public service and will contribute to the progress of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister wished all the ministers a successful term, noting the government’s commitment to meeting the people’s needs through collaboration.

The allocation of departments to the three ministers will occur this afternoon. It is expected that some existing ministers may also have their portfolios adjusted. Departments currently under the Chief Minister, such as education, will be assigned to others.

Rumors suggest that Guru Khushwant Saheb may receive the portfolios of Religion, Culture, and Tourism. Gajendra Yadav is anticipated to be assigned to Education, Higher Education, and Technical Education. Rajesh Agarwal, the MLA from Ambikapur, is expected to be given the Transport and Mineral Resources departments.
