Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation stone for a 250-seater Nalanda complex in Kunkuri, Jashpur district, with an investment of ₹4.37 crore. Speaking at the ceremony in Saliyatoli village, he expressed his best wishes to the youth, reiterating the state government’s commitment to providing high-quality education in every district.

As part of this initiative, Nalanda complexes are being set up across all district headquarters, with two locations in Jashpur already under construction. The complexes will feature modern libraries, teaching resources, and technical facilities. They will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing students to study without interruption.

Chief Minister Sai also highlighted the government’s efforts to increase transparency in citizen services through the implementation of e-office across all departments. He detailed ten new initiatives in the revenue sector, making processes like registration and transfer of ownership simpler for the general public.

In a move to benefit students, Chief Minister Sai announced a CBI investigation into corruption in exams such as the PSC. Additionally, Jashpur district will see the establishment of a medical college, agricultural college, and colleges for horticulture, nursing, naturopathy, and physiotherapy.

The Nalanda complex will provide round-the-clock study facilities, similar to those found in major cities. This will include indoor and outdoor study areas, as well as an ‘Oxi Reading Zone’ for students to connect with nature. The complex will be run on an autonomous model and powered by solar energy, emphasizing environmental sustainability.

The eco-friendly design will minimize power consumption and feature over 50 native plant species. To promote youth development, the complex will include facilities such as a Youth Tower, sports courts, a cafeteria, ATM, and health zone. The operational model will be self-financed. The library will house over 50,000 books, digital resources, Wi-Fi zones, and materials for competitive exams. It will also include an RFID-based entry system, biometric IDs, RFID for book tracking, and a software-based book management system.
