The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is poised to transform panchayat operations with ‘Pancham’, a sophisticated chatbot launched alongside UNICEF. This Panchayat Assistance and Messaging platform will deliver tailored assistance, from scheme details to administrative queries, directly to rural leaders’ fingertips.

Building excitement, a Sunday felicitation gala will honor elite panchayat figures invited to the 2026 Republic Day Parade. Minister Professor SP Singh Baghel leads the tributes, coinciding with unveilings of the 17th Gramodya Sankalp, 2025 PRI stats handbook, panchayat services committee findings, and PESA evaluation tools.

Spotlighting success stories, the awards recognize sarpanchs, mukhiyas, and higher panchayat officials from model implementations of government initiatives. States and UTs have nominated 240 such trailblazers, acknowledging their role in realizing a developed nation’s grassroots dreams.

Extending the honor, nearly 450 attendees with spouses join Republic Day events, including a January 25 Prime Ministers’ Museum visit tracing governance evolution and the ministry’s parade float on ‘SwaMithva Yojana’ for self-sufficient villages.

As technology meets tradition, Pancham equips panchayats for efficiency and impact. This forward-thinking move aligns with national goals, inspiring rural innovation amid Republic Day preparations.
