The Indian automotive landscape is evolving rapidly, with several automakers gearing up to introduce new and updated SUVs. Increased competition is leading to innovation across various segments. Here’s a look at the upcoming SUV models and their key features.

    **Tata Punch Facelift**

The Tata Punch is set to receive a significant design refresh. The updated model is anticipated to be released around November and will feature redesigned bumpers, a reworked front fascia, stylish 16-inch alloy wheels, and interior upgrades like a two-spoke steering wheel and a larger infotainment screen. The engine options are likely to remain consistent with the Tata Altroz, with the possibility of retaining the diesel variant.

    **Tata Sierra’s Comeback**

The Tata Sierra is making a highly anticipated return to the Indian market. The new Sierra is being carefully developed, with test vehicles seen on Indian roads. Key features to look forward to include a bold design inspired by the original Sierra, a premium interior with a modern four-seater layout, and a 1.5-litre TGDI petrol engine for the ICE version. The Sierra EV is expected to feature a segment-first dual-motor AWD setup. The ICE Sierra could launch by December, and the electric variant may follow in the coming weeks.

    **Hyundai Venue Redesign**

The next-generation Hyundai Venue (codenamed QU2i) is undergoing testing. Expected improvements include a sleeker exterior design, a larger infotainment display (similar to the Hyundai Creta), and interior refinements. While the engine options are likely to stay the same, a price increase is expected from the current ₹7.94 lakh – ₹13.62 lakh (ex-showroom) range.

    **Kia Syros EV Overview**

The Kia Syros EV, spotted testing in Korea, is an intriguing addition to Kia’s EV lineup. It’s built on a reinforced K1 platform, blending familiar design with modern EV technology. Key features include a cabin layout similar to the ICE variant, two battery options (42 kWh and 49 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC)), and estimated ranges of 300 km (42 kWh) and 355 km (49 kWh). The anticipated price is between ₹14–20 lakh (ex-showroom).

    **Hyundai Bayon Details**

The Hyundai Bayon, positioned between the Exter and the Venue, is a compact crossover based on the i20 platform. It is designed for urban use and will likely share mechanical parts with the i20 hatchback. Expected features include a 1.2-litre petrol engine and the potential for mild-hybrid technology to improve fuel efficiency. The Bayon is aimed at filling the gap between small SUVs and premium hatchbacks in Hyundai’s lineup.
