  • Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jayswal Addresses State-Level Health Department Review Meeting

    Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jayswal participated in a two-day state-level review meeting of the Health Department held on Friday at the Circuit House auditorium in Civil Lines. This review meeting, which began on Friday, will continue for two days. On the first day of the review meeting, the Health Minister reviewed the department’s work in detail. Addressing the health department officials, Shri Jayswal said that all officers and doctors should work selflessly, keeping in mind the health of the common people.

    He stated that at the state level, work is continuously being done to expand health facilities under the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. The construction of a super specialty hospital in Bilaspur at a cost of ₹200 crore, the ₹231 crore e-tender for a new 700-bed integrated hospital building in Mekahara, Raipur, the ₹1020 crore e-tender for four new medical colleges, the recruitment of more than 800 medical officers, specialist doctors, and paramedical staff within one year through the National Health Mission, and the introduction of Hindi medium for MBBS studies in the state—all these decisions have strengthened health services in the state. Shri Jayswal gave necessary instructions to the health department officials for better operation and implementation of the schemes, stating that the benefits of health services should be ensured to the common people. Senior departmental officials, as well as officers from the districts, were present at the departmental review meeting.

He had said that even someone wearing slippers will ride an airplane, and today that dream is being realized. The state government has developed Ambikapur airport at a cost of ₹80 crore.

    Maa Mahamaya Airport, Ambikapur has received a three C VFR category license. This airport is suitable for the operation of 72-seater ATR-72 aircraft.

    Chief Minister Shri Say said that work is also underway on a plan to connect Ambikapur with Varanasi, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Delhi, and Kolkata. Chhattisgarh has immense natural beauty, historical heritage, and eco-tourism potential. Places like Guru Ghasidas Tiger Reserve, Ramgarh hills, and Chitrakot waterfall, known as the Niagara of Asia, will now be easily accessible to tourists from India and abroad. Along with this, the expansion of air connectivity will also improve the investment environment. Our government has given special encouragement to enterprises like homestays and resorts in the new industrial policy, creating huge employment opportunities for local youth. We are trying to take Chhattisgarh to new heights in the aviation sector in the next four years.

    In the letter, the board has also mentioned that before the Friday prayers, if any matter other than religious statement/speech is to be presented to the congregation in the mosque, then for this, permission of the Waqf Board will be required through the WhatsApp group created earlier by the Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board for Mutawallis (Sadar) or through correspondence.

Women offered water to the setting sun after worshipping the sun at Chhath Ghats in all districts including Mahadev Ghat of Raipur.

    There was a huge crowd of fasting women at Mahadev Ghat in Raipur. The fasting women made jaggery kheer and roti and offered it to Chhath Maiya. Then the roti-kheer was distributed among the people as prasad. Chhath fasting women will complete their 36-hour fast by worshipping the rising sun and eating prasad on Friday morning.

  • Indian Railway: Train will not stop for crossing from Chittorgarh to Malhargarh, time of passengers will be saved.

    As soon as green signal is given after inspection, no train from Chittor to Malhargarh will have to stop for crossing. Passengers’ time will also be saved and the train will not run late. The doubling work on the 132 km long Ratlam-Neemuch railway section is being carried out rapidly by dividing the entire track into separate sections.

    New line will start as soon as CRS permission is received

    So far, doubling from Ratlam to Namli and from Neemuch to Harkiakhal has been completed and the movement of trains on the new line has been started. Railway officials are preparing to conduct CRS inspection after the doubling between Harkiakhal and Malhargarh is completed in November itself. As soon as the green signal from CRS is received, trains will start running on the new line.

Out of 13 bridges in this section, some work is left on 1 big and 1 small bridge, which will be completed in 10 days. The work of laying tracks at some places including the bridge and surrounding areas is in the final stages.

    Under the doubling, new buildings of Harkiakhal and Malhargarh stations were to be constructed, the length of the station was to be increased, foot overbridges were to be built and 27 bridges, including big and small, falling on this section were to be constructed.

    A little work is left on only two bridges between Harkiakhal and Malhargarh. CRS inspection has been done between Neemuch and Harkiakhal and now movement of all types of trains has started on the new line. In the second phase, the work of about 12 km long new line between Harkiakhal and Malhargarh has also been completed.

    7 to 10 days work left

    3 big and 10 small bridges have been constructed between Harkiakhal and Malhargarh. In this, some work is left on Retam river bridge and a small bridge near Chaldu. According to railway officials, 7 to 10 days of work is left. Along with the new line, electrification is also happening simultaneously. The installation and testing work of other equipment including laying of electric wires is in the final stage.

    The festival, which involves worshiping both the setting and rising sun, symbolizes the inclusive nature of Indian culture.According to CAIT, essential Chhath Puja items like bamboo baskets, banana leaves, sugarcane, sweets, fruits and vegetables (particularly coconuts, apples, bananas , and green vegetables) have seen a high demand.

    Traditional attire, including sarees, lehenga-chunni, salwar-kurta for women, and kurta-pajama, dhoti for men, are being purchased in large quantities, benefiting local traders and small-scale industries.

    Handmade items produced on a small scale are also witnessing significant sales.CAIT Secretary General and Member of Parliament, Praveen Khandelwal, emphasized that, “Chhath Puja is not just a religious festival but an integral part of Indian culture, reflecting social unity and dedication.

    It also boosts trade and directly benefits local producers, reinforcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) vision.”The majority of products used during Chhath Puja are crafted by local artisans and craftspeople, generating new employment opportunities and supporting cottage industries.
