Naiduniya representative, Indore. Raksha Bandhan, the festival of brother-sister affection, was celebrated with great joy on Monday. The sister tied a silk thread on the brother’s hand and the brother gave gifts to the sister with a promise of protection. Along with this, devotees also offered Raksha Sutra to God. People reached various places including Khajrana Ganesh Temple, Ranjit Hanuman Temple, Bijasan Mata, Annapurna, Harisiddhi Mata Temple in large numbers to offer Raksha Sutra.
A 125 kg Rakhi in the form of Akhand Bharat was tied to Khajrana Ganesh and gave the message of environmental protection. This time, due to the shadow of Bhadra on the festival, the sisters waited a little and tied the Rakhi at night after 1.30 in the afternoon. After the morning Aarti, Matushree Palrecha family tied a 40 by 60 inch Rakhi to Khajrana Ganesh.
Feature of Rakhi
This Rakhi depicts Mount Kailash and Gomukh Ganga along with the Golden Kalpavriksha. Along with this, the importance of trees and plants in human life was explained. Along with this, a Rakhi weighing 125 kg was offered by the Vighnaharta Ganesh Bhakt Samiti in the afternoon.
Rajesh Birkar of the committee said that iron base, velvet cloth, thermocol, profile sheet, fiber earth were used to prepare the rakhi. It was prepared by 10 artists in 15 days.
Pearl and star Rakhi to Ranjit Hanuman
A 24 by 24 inch rakhi made in Calcutta and decorated with pearls and stars was offered at Ranjit Hanuman temple. The rakhi’s string is 12 feet long. Shri Agrasen Club dedicated a rakhi to Agrasen Maharaj at his statue located at Agrasen Chauraha. A rakhi for environmental protection was offered.
