Ramniwas Rawat had resigned from the membership of the Vidhan Sabha. Which was accepted by the Vidhan Sabha Speaker on July 8. After this, the demand made by the Congress had no justification.

State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal (Ramniwas Rawat). The application for termination of membership under the anti-defection law presented by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar on behalf of Congress against Cabinet Minister Ramniwas Rawat, who joined BJP while being a Congress MLA in Madhya Pradesh, has been rejected.

Before the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Narendra Singh Tomar could take any decision on the application, Rawat had resigned from the membership of the Legislative Assembly, which was accepted on July 8. After this, there was no justification for the application to terminate the membership, so it was rejected.

During the Lok Sabha elections, MLA Ramniwas Rawat from Vijaypur assembly seat of Morena district supported BJP. He not only participated in the program held in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and state BJP president Vishnu Dutt Sharma, but also announced his joining BJP from the stage itself.

did not even attend the Congress Legislature Party meeting

On this occasion, Mayor of Morena Municipal Corporation Sharda Solanki also joined BJP. Rawat did not even come to the Congress Legislature Party meeting. The party accepted that he is no longer with them and hence decided not to make him sit with them in the House and did not even send his name in the seating order list.

In his place, Datia MLA Rajendra Bharti was also nominated as a member of the Business Advisory Committee. During the monsoon session, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar filed an application against Rawat for termination of membership under the anti-defection law.

Before the speaker of the assembly could consider it, he resigned, which was immediately accepted. After this, there was no scope for action under the anti-defection law, so the application was rejected.

Now he will contest election from Vijaypur on BJP ticket

Vijaypur assembly seat has been declared vacant due to the resignation of Ramniwas Rawat. The assembly secretariat has also sent this information to the Election Commission of India so that it can start the process of by-election. Elections can be held here in October after the monsoon. There is a possibility that Rawat will contest the by-election on a BJP ticket. In Amarwara too, the party had fielded former MLA Kamlesh Shah, who left the Congress and joined the BJP.

Satyapal Singh Sikarwar set up camp

Congress will also leave no stone unturned to corner Ramniwas Rawat in Vijaypur. Party candidate from Morena Lok Sabha Satyapal Singh Sikarwar has camped in the area. He has also expressed his desire to contest the by-election. The party has made former minister Jaivardhan Singh along with former leader of opposition Dr. Govind Singh in-charge of the by-election.
