Worshipping them ensures longevity of the husband and happiness and prosperity in the family. Marriageable girls worship them with the hope of getting a good husband. On this day, a large number of women and girls come here to offer prayers.

Shivling is made of sandstone

According to religious legends, Goddess Parvati made a Shivlinga out of sand and worshipped it to get Lord Shiva as her husband. Due to this belief, women and girls who observe fast make a Shivlinga out of sand and worship it. Lord Saubhagyaeshwar Mahadev’s Shivlinga is also made of sandstone.
