Constable Rambabu Rajput posted in the office of ADCP Amarendra Singh of Zone-2 was going to drop his relatives on Wednesday. A bus of Hans Travels (AR 11E-0800) was standing on the way at Dhakkanwala Kuan. Due to this, a traffic jam situation was created.

Action has been initiated to remove the buses of private travel agencies operating from within Indore city. The committee formed by the district administration has shut down the illegal bus depots of various bus operators operating in the city. This is the first time that action has been taken against the offices of big operators like Hans and Multani Sona.

All buses going to other states will have to operate via the bypass. Pickup points on AB Road and Ring Road will also be closed. Bus operators will only be able to operate booking offices in the city.

Action was taken against the offices of private bus operators as part of the exercise to improve traffic in the city. The district administration sealed the offices of several travel agencies operating long distance buses from the city on Thursday.

A month ago, Collector Ashish Singh had warned all such travel operators to start operating their buses outside the city within a month. But this had no effect on the bus operators. The operators of Hans Travels have always failed this campaign of the district administration.

Today, the district administration sealed the offices of Ashok Travels, Multani Sona and other travel agencies including Hans Travels and made it clear that long distance buses will be operated outside the city under any circumstances. District Collector Ashish Singh said that soon the operation of long distance buses of AICTSL will also be started from new bus stands.
