The dispensary of village Dauntajagir, which was running in a rented building till January 2020, is now carrying forward the tradition of treatment through ancient Ayurvedic method in the form of Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AYUSH). Along with 12 types of facilities, international standards of respect and behavior with patients are being followed here.

The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) has issued the certificate after testing the set parameters. This is the first Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Madhya Pradesh to receive this certificate. After the increase in resources and facilities, the number of patients coming has also doubled. Patients from the neighboring district Ujjain are also reaching for treatment.

Teams from Niti Aayog and NABH arrived

There was an Ayurvedic dispensary in Dauntajagir till 2019, where patients used to come and medicines were given. After getting the status of Ayushman Arogya Mandir along with the new building, facilities and resources started increasing from 2020. In 2022-23, it was identified from Bhopal as a model Ayushman Arogya Mandir. Along with treatment here, awareness about diseases, methods of treatment are also being told by identifying medicinal plants used in treatment.

For this, a herbal garden was prepared. In the morning, the villagers were made to do yoga. The facility of checking BP, sugar etc. was also started. After all this was running smoothly, registration was done for the NABH certificate. After this, a 6-member team of NITI Aayog came in April 2023. In December 2023, a four-member team of NABH came and examined the facilities, services, resources, behavior with patients etc.

Treatment of an eight cm lump on the neck of an old lady

Dr. Habib Patel, Ayurveda Medical Officer of Daunta Jagir, said that 65-year-old Dhannobai, a resident of the village, was suffering from a disease of about 8 cm fat gland (a form of lump) in the neck. When she consulted doctors at many places, she was advised to undergo surgery. After this, Dhannobai’s relatives brought her to Ayushman Arogya Mandir.

Here treatment was started with Panchkarma, in about one and a half months the lump was completely cured. Dauntajagir is near the border of Ujjain district in Tonkkhurd development block of Dewas. Apart from the nearby villages Dakhnipur, Sonsar, Dingroda, Merukhedi, patients from many villages of Jawasia area of ​​Ujjain district are coming here for treatment. At the time of the dispensary, about 18-20 patients used to come daily, now this figure has crossed 40.
