State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. When the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) summoned Chief Secretary Veera Rana to Delhi in connection with the education of Hindu children in madrasas of Madhya Pradesh, one and a half months after that, the recognition of 56 madrasas in Sheopur district has been revoked.

Took government aid in the name of Hindu children

Government aid was being taken in the name of Hindu children in these madrasas. After this fraud was exposed, strict action was taken on 56 out of 80 madrasas in Sheopur on Tuesday. State School Education Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh also directed to expedite the physical verification of madrasas operating in all districts.

The game of corruption going on in madrasas

In fact, Sheopur district is a big example of the corruption going on in the madrasas of Madhya Pradesh. In some madrasas here, government aid has been taken in the name of such Hindus who have completed their education or are working somewhere.

Among some names, Manav Goyal’s name is written in the madrasa, but he is a software engineer. Priya Mittal is a doctor but government food grains are being taken in her name too. Jyotsna Goyal has also become a doctor, but her name is also in the list of students studying in madrasa.

BJP government is trying to suppress the matter

The names of these Hindus written in madrasas tell us that a big fraud is going on in madrasas at the state level. There are many such students in this district whose names were registered in 2004, then the name of the same student was included in 2018 and 2023 as well. The shocking thing is that the BJP government, which opposes appeasement, was busy suppressing it.

125 crores will be recovered

If the government officials are to be believed, if the corruption flourishing in the Madrasas of Sheopur is taken as a model and if this district alone is investigated, then the government will have to recover Rs 125 crore from the Madrasas for the last five years.

On the basis of the report of the District Education Officer of Sheopur, the Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board has issued orders to cancel the recognition of these madrasas. The report said that among the recognized madrasas in Sheopur district, there are 56 such madrasas which are receiving grants from the state government.

9427 Hindu children are studying in 1505 madrasas

After the information of Hindu children getting education in Islam in 1505 madrasas of Madhya Pradesh came to light, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken a strict action. Now along with madrasas, information about missionary ashrams and NGOs is also being collected.

There are no students there, no one is being taught, in many places no school was found. Grants were also being taken by those institutions. After investigation, the recognition of all those madrasas has been cancelled. Madrasas of other districts of the state are also being investigated. – Uday Pratap Singh, School Education Minister, MP
