Narmada’s pipeline burst again in Khandwa district, water had to be distributed in the city through tankers

Khandwa. Water supply in the city was disrupted due to the bursting of the main pipe line of Narmada water near village Machhodi in Khandwa district on Saturday. The Municipal Corporation supplied water to the city through tankers. In some areas, water was supplied through Sukta Jal Praday Yojana.

The Narmada water pipeline has burst for the second time in a fortnight. People are facing water crisis as water supply has been affected in both the rainy seasons. On Sunday also, people had to face trouble due to no water coming from the tap since morning.

People are taking help of CM helpline

People suffering from water crisis are resorting to CM helpline for water. Here Vishwa Company started Charkheda filter plant after repairing the Narmada water pipeline. By Sunday afternoon, the overhead tanks of the city were filled. After this, water supply was started in the city.

It is known that the water distribution system in the city has been disrupted for the past one week. Due to the work of connecting the Narmada pipeline in the Civil Line area, water was not distributed for about four days. This problem had just been resolved when the pipeline burst again near Machhondi.

City people are worried about water

After the Narmada line burst, the people of the city had to face the problem of water scarcity. Till now the problem of water was seen only during summers. But this time due to the line bursting during the rains, this situation has arisen.
