‘Papa was shot by my uncle, I was there then…’, a five year old girl revealed the secret of her father’s murder

The wife also considered it an accident, but a few months later the deceased’s five-year-old daughter told her mother that ‘Papa was shot by his uncle. I was there at that time.’ After this the wife filed a complaint in the court. Hearing this the court has ordered to register a case.

The incident is from August 2020

On 9 August 2020, there was a family function at the house of Rahul Patel, who lives in Tejaji Nagar area. During this time, the sound of firecrackers was heard outside the house at around 9 pm. Rahul’s wife Ranjita was at home with her mother-in-law at that time.

When we came out, we saw that her husband Rahul was lying injured. There was blood on the floor. Ranjita’s brother-in-law Rohit Patel, brother-in-law Deepak Patel, shop servant Devraj Rajput, brother-in-law Santosh Chandel took the injured Rahul to the hospital for treatment. Rahul died the next day.

He kept saying that the accident happened while cleaning the gun

Relatives said that an accident occurred while cleaning the gun and Rahul got shot. A few months after the incident, Rahul’s five-year-old daughter Tanvi told mother Ranjita that her uncle Rohit Patel had shot Papa.

Ranjita was shocked to hear this. She inquired about this to her mother-in-law Soran Bai, father-in-law Hari Om, brother-in-law Rohit, brother-in-law Deepak, brother-in-law Santosh and sister-in-law Rita, but they threatened her. After this, Ranjita also complained to the police, but nothing happened.

On this, he filed a complaint in the District Court in March 2022. Recently, while hearing this complaint, the District Court has ordered to register a case against Rahul’s both brothers, parents and sister-in-law, brother-in-law under sections 302, 201 and section 34.

Because of this the court accepted

Advocate Manish Yadav, who is pleading on behalf of Ranjita in the complaint, said that statements of daughter Tanvi, the doctor who conducted the postmortem, ballistic expert and others were recorded on behalf of the complainant. The doctor who conducted the postmortem told the court that there were many marks of pellet injury on Rahul’s body. When a gun is used by oneself, there is a mark of injury at one place, but it was not so in this case.
