So far, the investigation has revealed that Radhika was mentally unstable, but the police have not yet received any document from the family that proves her mental illness. However, on the basis of the woman’s abnormal behavior and the evidence found at the scene, it is believed that she is mentally ill. This has also been confirmed by the doctor who conducted Radhika’s medical examination.

Radhika’s father Sakharam, a resident of Jamgarh Bareilly, told the police that Radhika had mental problems earlier as well. The family tried to cure her several times through exorcism, once even took her to a Bengali doctor. But they had never imagined that Radhika could go to such an extent that she would kill her own children.

It has also been revealed that Radhika’s family mostly relied on superstition and black magic for treatment, which may have been the main reason for this incident. If Radhika had received the right treatment on time, perhaps this horrific incident could have been avoided.
