Ruckus in Ratlam… Stones thrown at people carrying Ganesh idol, police station cordoned off, tear gas fired

Naiduniya representative, Ratlam. Anger spread after stones were thrown at people carrying Ganesha idol at Mochipura crossing on Saturday night. Around 10 pm, a large number of workers of Hindu organizations reached Station Road police station and gheraoed it demanding FIR. Meanwhile, people reached the road in front of the police station.

They blocked the road. After the FIR, when people were returning from Mochipura at around 11.30 pm, a situation of dispute arose. Miscreants toppled some vehicles. During this, a stampede occurred. Meanwhile, the crowd gathered again in Dobatti area. The crowd was dispersed by releasing tear gas.

CSP Abhinav Kumar Barange and TI Dinesh Bhojak, Industrial Area TI Rajendra Verma and other officials arrived among the people who were blocking the road outside Do Batti police station and held discussions.

Lakhan Rajwadiya and Kajal Guru and other people said that they were going with the procession carrying the idol, when someone threw a stone in the dark. We checked the CCTV footage of the surrounding areas.

For a long time, the angry people kept shouting slogans outside the police station and demanding action. A case was registered against unknown persons at around 11 pm. After this, the protest was ended. CSP Abhinav Kumar Barange told the media that CCTV footage is being checked.

Stones were thrown in return too

After the FIR, when people were going back through Mochipura, a situation of dispute arose and some stones were also thrown. SP Rahul Kumar Lodha and ASP Rakesh Khakha and other officers also reached there and the crowd was dispersed. At present the situation is under control.
