School Fees: 9 private schools in Khandwa fined Rs 1 lakh each, instructions to return the increased fees

Nine schools were fined for unreasonable increase in fees. DEO initiated strict action against schools. Schools which increased fees by more than 10% were investigated.

Naiduniya representative, Khandwa. As soon as the school starts, the arbitrariness of the school operators also starts. Harda collector had taken action against the schools which increased the fees. After this, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav had given instructions to collect information about the schools which have increased the fees by more than 10 percent in 3 years across the state. Under these orders, information about fee hike was sought from all the schools of Khandwa district, in which it came to light that 9 schools of the district have increased the fees by more than 10 percent.

DEO showed seriousness

DEO PS Solanki showed seriousness about this and took action against the school operators. According to DEO Solanki, information was sought from the schools of the district. 9 schools were found to have increased their fees by more than 10 percent. Information about these schools was placed before the district committee.

The fee recovery amount will be refunded

After this, notices were issued to the school operators. When the replies to the notices were not found satisfactory, a fine of Rs 1 lakh each was imposed on all the nine schools. Apart from this, the amount of increased fees collected from the said schools will also be refunded to the parents.

These schools were fined

Paramount Public School, Kalamukhi Saint Laxman Chaitanya Academy, Nahalda Grant-in-Aid Public High School, Khandwa Hali Spirit Convent School, Khandwa St. Joseph Convent School, Kotwada St. Joseph Convent School, Khandwa Smt. Sundarbai Gupta Higher Secondary School, Khandwa Gayatri Vidya Mandir, Bamangaon Akhai Sophia Convent School, Khandwa
