The roof of a farm house under construction in Choral suddenly collapsed. The workers got buried under it.

Mhow. The roof of an under construction farm house in village Choral near Mhow tehsil collapsed. 5 labourers died after being buried under it. Their bodies have been taken out. Police also reached the spot as soon as the information of the incident was received. At first the labourers could not be taken out due to non-availability of JCB. Later JCB was brought to the spot. The deceased include two real brothers along with the contractor.

The accident happened late at night, it was discovered in the morning

The bodies of the workers have been taken out from the debris. All the bodies have been sent to the district hospital for postmortem. The incident is said to have happened late Thursday night. The incident came to light when other people reached the farm house in the morning. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the incident and directed to give Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Voluntary Grant.

The workers slept under the roof

Information has been received that all the workers were sleeping under the roof. According to Indore Collector Ashish Singh, 5 workers were buried under the debris. Their bodies have been taken out. According to Rural SP Hitika Vasal who reached the spot, the bodies of 5 workers have been taken out. According to her, the debris has been removed.

It has also been learnt that illegal construction work was allegedly being carried out in this farm house in Choral. Questions are also being raised on the officials responsible for this. However, no information has been received from any official in this regard yet. According to Choral’s Sarpanch Ashok Saini, the district administration has given orders to demolish such construction in the farm house.

It is said that these workers were brought to the farm house through a contractor. It is said that the roof of the farm house was placed on iron angles. The roof suddenly collapsed at night and the workers sleeping below got trapped under it. They died due to being buried under it.

After the roof collapsed, a team of Simrol police also reached the spot. After this, the work of removing the debris was done on the spot. A large number of villagers also gathered at the spot.

According to police sources, all the workers have died. The roof fell on the sleeping workers. The roof was filled two-three days ago. Rural SP Rupesh Dwivedi said that about 5 workers were buried under the debris. They died.

According to the Rural SP, 3-4 cranes and Poklane were needed to completely remove the debris from the roof. For this, more than one crane was sent to the spot.

A hydra, 2 JCBs and a Poklane reached the spot. SDM Charanjit Singh Hooda also reached the spot. It is said that different cottages were being built here. All the workers were sleeping under a cottage and the roof collapsed.

He lost his life in the accident
