Truck stuck in high voltage line while reversing in Balaghat, driver and conductor died on the spot due to electric shock

Naiduniya News, Balaghat: In Shervi village of Charegaon police station under Lamta police station, at around 1 pm on Sunday, the driver and conductor of a truck loaded with 16 wheeled paddy died on the spot when it got electrocuted by 11000 KV line. Police reached the spot on receiving the information, recovered both the bodies and completed the Panchnama proceedings. Post-mortem of both the bodies was conducted in Lamta.

Among the deceased are driver Shajid Khan, son of Shabbir Hansa, 28 years, resident of Islampura, Gujarat; Shadiq Khan, son of Berkhan, 23 years, resident of District Dahud, Gujarat.

According to the information, Shervi resident Prahlad Bopche is a paddy trader and after buying paddy from farmers in the villages, he loads it in a truck and takes it to other places and sells it. On Sunday, the truck had come to Prahlad’s house to load paddy. After loading paddy from here, the driver was reversing the truck near the Panchayat to take it away.

Stuck in 11 thousand kV line

During this time, the cabin got stuck in the 11000 KV line passing overhead, but the power was off at that time. After this, the driver kept reversing the truck. Meanwhile, the trailer behind also got stuck and then the power came on and the current spread throughout the truck and the driver and conductor died on the spot. The police have seized the truck and parked it at Charegaon police station.

The wire was at a low height

Here, Paraswada MLA Madhu Bhagat, who reached the spot after the accident, took stock of the incident site and held the electricity department responsible for this. Because this accident is said to have happened due to the low height of the wire. It is said that the truck is from Gujarat, but had come to Shervi to load paddy on the request of a person from Lamta. At present, the police are investigating the matter.

Due to this, the driver and conductor died on the spot due to electric shock in the truck. Postmortem of the bodies of both has been done. The truck has been parked at Lamta Chowki and the case is being investigated.
