On Wednesday, a video of GRP police station in-charge Aruna Vahne was widely circulated on the internet media. In which the police station in-charge and some police personnel were beating a woman named Kusum Vanskar and her 15-year-old grandson with a stick after locking them in their chamber.

Congress state president Patwari had tweeted on X

Congress state president Patwari had tweeted on X regarding the matter and after that there was a ruckus. The Railway Superintendent of Police removed the station in-charge and handed over the investigation of the case to the Deputy Superintendent of Police. In the same case, it was also clarified that several cases of theft are registered against the woman and her grandson.

Railway SP Shimala Prasad retweeted the PCC chief’s tweet

Railway SP Shimala Prasad has tweeted on the PCC Chief’s tweet regarding the matter. In which she says that the video is from October 2023. The youth in the video has 19 cases registered against him and he is a monitored criminal. A reward of Rs 10,000 was announced on the youth when he absconded last year.

SP Railway has written that the order of banishment was issued in the month of April. After the facts came to light, the GRP police station has been removed and the investigation of the entire case has been handed over to the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
