Weather of MP: Monsoon is becoming active again in the state, alert of heavy rain in Bhopal-Jabalpur

Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: Currently, due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, there is rain with thunder and lightning in the state. According to meteorologists, the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a depression and a deep depression within 24 hours.

Due to its effect, intermittent rain may start in most of the districts of Madhya Pradesh from Saturday. During this period, there are chances of heavy rain in some places in Bhopal, Narmadapuram and Jabalpur divisions.

On the other hand, on Friday, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Narmadapuram recorded 35 mm rainfall, Mandla 27 mm, Umaria 24 mm, Naugaon 16 mm, Chhindwara 13 mm, Tikamgarh 12 mm, Khajuraho 11 mm, Narsinghpur 7 mm, Satna 6 mm, Betul 5 mm, Shivpuri 3 mm, Jabalpur 0.8 mm, Gwalior 0.3 mm and Ujjain 0.2 mm rainfall was recorded.

Trough formed around Gujarat

According to the information received from the Meteorological Center, the deep low pressure area formed around Bhuj in Gujarat has reached the Arabian Sea and has turned into a storm. The monsoon trough is currently extending from the storm in the Arabian Sea to Malegaon, Brahmapuri, Mandla, Jagdalpur, Kalingapatnam and the very low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal.

Former senior meteorologist of Meteorological Centre, Ajay Shukla said that a western disturbance is present in the form of a trough around Pakistan. Due to the effect of weather systems formed at different places, rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in most of the districts of the state.

Possibility of rain in Bhopal, Narmadapuram

The very low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a deep depression by Saturday night and reach southern Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh. Due to its effect, intermittent rain may start in most of the districts of the state from Saturday. Heavy rain is also expected at some places, especially in Bhopal, Narmadapuram and Jabalpur divisions.
