Actress Nimrat Kaur, known for her compelling screen presence, turned deeply personal on Friday, commemorating the 32nd death anniversary of her father, Shaheed Major Bhupendra Singh. A soldier from a modest background in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar, he was taken captive by Kashmiri terrorists in 1994. Rejecting their outrageous conditions, the 44-year-old gave his life, securing the Shaurya Chakra honor.

Monuments to his valor dot the landscape: a statue in his native town and a poignant memorial where he fell. Nimrat’s Instagram tribute featured cherished old photos and these sites, evoking widespread admiration.

In her emotional note, she described him as rising through determination, a perfect family man and indomitable warrior unafraid of mortality. ‘In his last breath, he displayed unmatched valor,’ she shared. Heartfelt appreciation went to the military and officials who ensured his name endures in Ganganagar’s sands and Kashmir’s valleys.

‘Papa’s devotion, bravery, principles, and resilience echo in comrades’ stories and family lore,’ she wrote. Yearning for him today, Nimrat prayed for every patriot soldier, beaming with pride as his daughter. Her words bridge cinema and courage, celebrating unsung guardians of the nation.
