No Jobs, No Development: Agnimitra Paul Targets Mamata Govt

In Durgapur, BJP firebrand Agnimitra Paul unleashed fury on Mamata Banerjee’s leadership, declaring her government has utterly neglected West Bengal’s masses. During a pointed Wednesday conversation with IANS, Paul dissected years of unkept promises and economic stagnation.

She zeroed in on the 2008 Singur debacle, where Tata Nano’s exit under Banerjee-led agitation dashed industrial dreams. ‘Employment for youth was the rallying cry then,’ Paul recounted. ‘Today, after endless years in office, zilch has been achieved.’

Investment drives and summits touted by TMC have been performative failures, Paul asserted. No capital inflow means no factories, no jobs—prompting a youth migration crisis. ‘Mamata’s apathy forces our talent to flee,’ she lamented.

Paul pivoted to brighter prospects under PM Modi, who vows to harness Bengal’s resources for a manufacturing boom and widespread employment. This stands in sharp relief to Banerjee’s track record of inaction.

Paul’s bold accusations reflect deepening public anger over unemployment and underdevelopment. As political temperatures rise, her call-out could galvanize support for alternatives, signaling a pivotal shift in Bengal’s fortunes.
