Vehicle owners in Noida can sleep better tonight after Sector-39 police cracked down on a brazen theft syndicate. Three gangsters, led by a notorious repeat offender, were collared with incriminating evidence that paints a picture of their nocturnal exploits.
Acting on intelligence, officers swooped near Som Bazaar on Thursday, detaining Vishal Sharma alias Dhola (28, Sector-45), Vishal Tyagi alias Akku (26, Gejha), and Upender Pathak (28, Bulandshahr). The haul: six pilfered tyre rims, two batteries, specialized theft gear including wire cutters and jacks, their Wagon R escape car, plus illegal firearms and a blade.
Under questioning, the duo admitted scouting residential zones after dark, dismantling parts from parked sedans and SUVs, and offloading them in the capital. A dedicated complaint now targets the batteries.
Dhola’s criminal dossier is alarming—21+ cases spanning loot, murder bids, NDPS, arms act, and bootlegging. His partners share blotters for fights, thefts, and liquor law violations.
Police vow intensified scrutiny of the gang’s web, including downstream buyers and historical heists. This operation not only secures recoveries but signals zero tolerance for auto crime in Noida.
