Jharkhand News: In order to prevent the incidents of elephants on the railway track, the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) based intraction detection system (IDS) technology will be used in the Chakradharpur and Ranchi Railway Division of South Eastern Railway. Railways have identified places where elephants often have movement. This system will be installed at these places.

It will be installed on the banks of railway tracks
This initiative is being done in collaboration with the Railway and Forest Department, so that elephants can be prevented from getting hit by the train. Through this intraction detection system, elephant activities can be detected soon near the railway track. It is basically a thermal tool, which will be installed on the side of the railway track. As soon as an elephant approaches the track, this device will play the alarm, which will give a warning to the train driver and the elephants will also get a shock, which will make them away from the track.

Elephants pass through railway tracks in Kolhan
This system will operate through fiber optics and sensors. This technology has been used in some railway divisions earlier also. In the Kolhan region, where a large number of elephants pass by the railway track, this step will prove to be very important. Underpasses are also being built for the movement of elephants near the railway track, so that the elephants do not come on the track, but their movement remains smooth.
The death of elephants will be stopped with the cooperation of railway
RCCF Smita Pankaj said that efforts are being made to stop the death of elephants with the cooperation of the railway. He informed that work on the installation of intuition detection system is in progress.
