    overflowing water in fields

Let us tell you that it has been raining continuously in the district since Thursday. It stops for a few hours and then starts again. Due to the rain, the fields are filled with water. There is no proper drainage system. In such a situation, their paddy crop has started rotting now, because it has been only a fortnight since the transplantation. The plant has not been able to recover completely and is now starting to rot.

Plants will have to be replanted

In such a situation, the affected farmers will now have to plant paddy plants again in their fields. If arrangements are not made to drain out the water from the fields soon, the plants will rot completely. The farmers whose fields are flooded due to heavy rains in the district have also demanded an assessment of the damage from the administration.

    Paddy area increased

This time, the target of sowing Kharif crops in a total of 1 lakh 55 thousand hectares has been set across the district. This year the area for paddy has been fixed at 45 thousand hectares, but it has increased to 55 thousand hectares. Because the area for paddy is continuously increasing in the district. Earlier, due to lack of rain, the transplantation of paddy got delayed and when it rained and the farmers transplanted paddy, now the continuous rain has become a problem for them.

    no water drainage

Due to continuous rain in the district, hundreds of bighas of paddy crop are flooded due to lack of drainage in Barkheda, Radhapur, Barodia Jinsi, Thikriya of Baroda region, Bagdua of Soikala region. Due to excessive rain, hundreds of acres of paddy crop is flooded, due to waterlogging in the fields, paddy crop is on the verge of destruction. Therefore, the administration should immediately make arrangements to drain out water from the farmers’ fields, otherwise the farmers will protest. -Radheshyam Meena, farmer, leader Sheopur
