    Oman has finalized its team for the Asia Cup 2025, set to commence on September 9th. This will be Oman’s debut in the Asia Cup, and they will compete in Group A with India, Pakistan, and the UAE. The squad includes a mix of established players and new talent. Notably, the team features representation from different religious backgrounds, with four Hindu players included and a Sikh cricketer appointed as captain. Jatinder Singh, a prominent opening batsman, will lead the team.

    The squad includes four Hindu players: Samay Shrivastav, Aryan Bisht, Vinayak Shukla, and Ashish Odedera. The batting and bowling units are expected to be competitive. Oman will face India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, looking to pose a significant challenge.

    Oman’s Asia Cup 2025 journey begins against Pakistan on September 12th. They will then face the UAE on September 15th, concluding the group stage against India on September 19th in Abu Dhabi. Oman has shown strong cricketing form recently, and fans anticipate a spirited performance in the Asia Cup 2025.

    Discussing the team’s prospects, Oman’s Head Coach, Duleep Mendis, said, “Playing against Pakistan and India is a dream for any cricketer. These are both very strong teams, but T20 cricket can turn quickly. Our team is also strong, having qualified for the Asia Cup 2025. I hope that the team’s players will certainly make an impact in the Asia Cup. We have excellent young players, and they will learn a lot from experienced cricketers.”
