The death of French streamer Raphael Graven, also known as Jean Pormanove, is causing a stir in France. The 46-year-old died during a livestream, leading to speculation and concern. The situation initially pointed toward online trolling and abuse. The autopsy, however, revealed a lack of violence. There were no injuries found on his body, leading investigators to consider a medical condition or substance use as potential causes. Graven was reportedly being treated for a thyroid condition and suffered from heart issues. Before his death, which was broadcast live, Graven expressed his wish for the abuse to cease. Reports indicate Graven endured instances of physical violence and sleep deprivation. His unconscious state during the stream alarmed viewers, who then contacted the police. Upon arrival, the police found Graven dead at his home. A witness reportedly saw someone throw a water bottle at him while he was unconscious. The French newspaper, Le Monde, stated that Graven was involved in content that included online insults and violence. Authorities have stated that he was subjected to persistent public abuse and humiliation in the months before his death. The investigation is ongoing.
